The 1-day conference is scheduled to hold on the 9th of March 2016 at The Civic Centre, Lagos.
This year’s theme – ‘Pledge for Parity’
– is designed to develop and inspire female entrepreneurs in their
respective pursues to leave their mark in an otherwise, male-dominated
sector. Participants will acquire new and sharpen existing skills from
an impressive list of speakers and session moderators including Special
Guest, Mosun Belo-Olusoga (Chairperson, Access Bank PLC); Abike Dabiri-Erewa (Senior Special Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs); Oreoluwa Somolu-Lesi (Executive Director, W.TEC); Aisha Babaginda (Chairman, Better Life for Rural Women, Nigeria) amongst many.
This first-of-its-kind conference is
open to all Nigerians and will double as the launch of its 2016
Empowerment Training programme where a total of 1000 women will be
trained over the course of the calendar year in various vocations
including Makeup & Hair Styling, Catering and Digital Media.
SME 100 Nigeria and Rubies Vocational
School aims to continuously stimulate entrepreneurship among Young
Africans through its empowerment initiatives – supporting female
entrepreneurs and enabling communities to reap the transformational
benefits of SME participation in the economy.
